Sierra High School’s World History and Law Classes took their learning to the Getty Museum to analyze Renaissance and Absolute Monarchy paintings and artifacts. They focused on the exhibit Renaissance Drawings Revealed which included drawings by Michelangelo and Titian. A special treat was being able to analyze Jacopo da Pontormo’s most renowned work, the Visitation amongst other Renaissance pieces of the Florentine era of the 1520’s. A class favorite was Louis the XIV portrait as well as a standing musical clock from the Palace of Versailles.
