Piru Preschool students have been learning about insects through hands-on exploration in our preschool garden. Ladybugs were a very popular addition as the children observed them closely, shared discoveries, and watched them crawl on leaves, containers, and even their clothing. These helpful insects will now live in our garden, where they can help protect the plants from pests in a natural way. This experience gave the children a wonderful opportunity to build curiosity, care for living things, and connect their learning to the world around them.
