Our Roadrunners showed up in full school and holiday spirit today! From bright smiles to festive outfits, we loved representing our amazing Fillmore community.

Even a rainy Monday couldn’t stop the fun! Students enjoyed a Franny the Frog–inspired puddle-jumping activity that had everyone hopping, laughing, and staying active.

Despite the rainy weather, our students showed up ready to learn and have fun during our PJ & Hot Cocoa themed Saturday School!
K-2 students built balloon-powered cars.
3rd-5th graders engineered and tested different paper airplanes, learning about lift, thrust, and drag. A big shoutout to our students and teachers for their creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm!

Our kindergarteners went on an ABC scavenger hunt today, searching all around campus to match letters with items. These excited kinders ran straight to the office to match the letter K with Ms. Kelp and Mrs. Karina

Annual Costume Parade!
Our students had a spook-tacular time showing off their creative costumes during our Annual Costume Parade! From superheroes to movie characters, we loved seeing all the smiles, laughter, and school spirit.
A big thank you to our families who came out to cheer and celebrate with us. It was a great way to wrap up the week!

Our youngest Rio Vista students traded the classroom for the countryside today at the FUSD Farm! They learned all about the pumpkin life cycle, enjoyed a hayride, explored a pallet maze, and even got to pick and decorate their own pumpkins. What a perfect fall adventure!

From a tiny seed to a giant gourd! Mrs. Stanley and Ms. Sarah’s TKers are learning all about the life cycle of a pumpkin; how it begins as a seed, grows into a flowering vine, and transforms into a big, bright orange pumpkin ready for harvest (or carving!)

Our 5th graders in Mrs. DeMeritt and Mr. Kinberg’s classes visited Ventura College this week! They explored the campus, learned about college life, and got inspired to start thinking about their futures.

With 60% of the funds coming back to us, we’ll be able to support school programs, events, and opportunities that make our school such a special place.
