🎲❤️ **Rio Vista’s First Annual Family Game Night was a SUCCESS!** ❤️🎲 What a fun evening of community, connection, and lots of smiles! Our Roadrunner families joined us for an evening filled with board games, yard games, music, delicious churros, and, most importantly, good company! We are so grateful to all of our families who came out and made our first Family Game Night so special. We love creating opportunities for our Rio Vista community to come together, have fun, and make memories! And remember—we host a FREE family event every month at Rio Vista! A BIG thank you to Sierra Bank in Fillmore for their incredible support of FUSD and our Roadrunners! ❤️💙 Sierra Bank generously donated backpacks, piggy banks, and calculators to help support our students while also promoting important financial literacy skills. 🎒 They also made a monetary donation to Rio Vista Elementary, and we are so grateful for their continued investment in our students and our school community! A Great First Week at Rio Vista

Wow! What a GREAT first week at Rio Vista! Ronnie the Roadrunner made a special appearance this morning to welcome our students, and Ms. Kelp met with students in Grades 1–5 to review our school-wide expectations! We are so proud of the way our Roadrunners have jumped into the new school year with enthusiasm, kindness, and a commitment to being Kind, Safe, Respectful, Responsible, and an Ally! ❤️

Rio Vista TK Bootcamp

🎉 Rio Vista Bootcamp is officially underway! We are so thrilled to welcome our newest and youngest Roadrunners! ❤️ Our incoming TK students are spending time getting to know their new school, teachers, routines and friends, and having lots of fun along the way! We still have spots available! Incoming TK students are invited to join us for Rio Vista Bootcamp from 8:00–11:00 AM through July 31st. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to become familiar with our school and feel confident and ready for the start of the school year. 📞 Interested in joining us? Please call the Rio Vista Elementary School office to enroll. Once enrolled, your child can start Bootcamp!

Today we celebrate the retirement of Ms. Christiane Leone, our dedicated Education Specialist, after years of service to students, families, and our school community.

Ms. Leone has made a lasting impact through her compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to helping every student reach their full potential. Her dedication to supporting learners and building meaningful relationships has touched countless lives.

Thank you, Ms. Leone, for the difference you have made and the legacy you leave behind. We wish you happiness, relaxation, and many exciting adventures in retirement. Congratulations and best wishes on this well-deserved next chapter!

This morning, we proudly promoted 97 incredible 5th graders as they completed their elementary school journey and prepared for the exciting adventure of middle school. Watching our students walk across the stage, surrounded by proud families, dedicated staff, and years of memories, was both heartwarming and inspiring.

To our promoting class: we are so proud of all you have accomplished. Continue to work hard, be kind, and chase your dreams. Once a Roadrunner, always a Roadrunner!
