We look forward to celebrating World Down Syndrome Day tomorrow.
Our students can celebrate the beauty of being unique by wearing brightly colored socks.
March 21st is symbolic because people with Down Syndrome have three copies of their 21st chromosome. The idea to wear colorful socks comes from when chromosomes are examined under a microscope, they look colorfully stripped and resemble the shape of paired socks.
Let's celebrate the beauty and rock our socks!
Smiles,
Mrs. McDaniels
