National School Counseling Week
Fillmore Middle School celebrates National School Counseling Week. We are thankful for our counseling team and our wellness center team who support students everyday.
2026 Fillmore Student Art Show
On Friday, January 30th, FMS and FHS Art students participated in the 2026 Fillmore Student Art Show held at the Cole Creativity Center in Santa Paula. The student art exhibit features the creative work and skill of both the high school and middle school students.

Ivonne Magana (7th grade) - 2nd place overall winner in the category of Design & Illustration AND also 2nd place winner in the category of Dry Media
Emilee Garcia (7th Grade)- Honorable Mention in the category of Design & Illustration
Elisa Calderon (7th Grade) - Honorable Mention in the category of Dry Media
All winners received a CASH prize along with a one year membership to the Santa Paula Society of the Arts. All artwork will remain on display at the Cole Creativity Center in Santa Paula until March 8th.

Fillmore Middle School celebrated our students with high academic achievement. Students earning a 3.75 or higher GPA for the 1st semester were recognized for their accomplishment. We are very proud of these Bulldogs and their hard work.
FMS Wellness Peers participated in a Training
The Fillmore Middle School Wellness Peers participated in a training at the county office. The areas of focus were advocating, communication, mental health and building a positive culture at school. We commend our students and Mrs. Hurtado for their commitment to be leaders on campus.
FMS return from winter break
Fillmore Middle School staff and students have been doing amazing things in the return from winter break. Teachers working on classroom community, academic discussions and our EL students creating goals for their upcoming ELPAC assessment. We are proud of the strong start to the second semester.

Basketballa season is here!
The girls and boys basketball seasons have kicked off at Fillmore Middle School. Thank you to our hard working coaches and our student athletes for demonstrating Bulldog PRIDE both on an off the court. We would also like to shout out the FMS band who creates a dynamic game day vibe in the gym.

Wellness Center Peers hosted a drum circle
The FMS Wellness Center and Wellness Center Peers hosted a drum circle provided by VCOE. Students enjoyed their experience and connection to wellness.

FMS held our Fall Rally on Friday. Mickey’s Magical Rally brought all the energy and our ASB students put on an amazing rally for students and staff.

The 8th-grade AVID class had the opportunity to visit UCSB for a campus tour. They heard directly from college students about what life is like on a college campus.
