A part of FMS' mission is having PRIDE. Pride stands for perseverance, respect, integrity, dependability, and empathy. Each week, three teachers select a student who has exemplified a part of PRIDE. Congratulations to our first group of PRIDE award recipients: Victoria Travers, Kailee Orozco-Gutierrez and Jaden Munoz!.

Through explorations of human body systems, and more, Project Lead The Way at FMS fuels students’ passion for discovery. As they engage in hands-on, collaborative problem solving focused on real-world challenges, students use and stretch their imaginations in brand-new ways and connect their learning to life. These 6th grade students in Ms. Flowers' class are currently working on a foot orthosis for a client with Cerebral Palsy. How amazing is that?
FMS Teacher Leadership hard at work to ensure every student in every classroom is getting our very best! Stay tuned to see how much students learn this year!
Science lab days are very important and exciting in Science 7 at FMS. Check out the student scientists in Ms. Merrill's class using their creativity to make many different paint colors using three primary colors.
Our FMS families had the opportunity to attend class with their students yesterday for Back to School Night. They started with Club Academy and ended with the 6th period. They experienced our bell system and hurried to their next class during the 5-minute passing period, just like their students do on a regular school day! Once inside class, teachers presented to families the 4 questions that we are working on as a school community: What does the teacher want the students to know and be able to do? How does the teacher and student know if they learned it? How does the teacher respond if the student hasn't learned it? How does the teacher respond if the student has already mastered it?
We thank our FMS families for coming "back" to school to learn about this topic and we look forward to the great year that we will have!
