Learning about California Condor chicks and why they continue to choose to nest in Hopper Canyon between Fillmore and Piru. Switching to copper bullets will help save the Condors from extinction so Fillmore Middle School students are brainstorming ways to get the message out to hunters.

Environmental Literacy: We had an excellent distance learning Science 7 class conversation about sustainable ecotourism. Fillmore Middle School students shared their ecotourism ideas by designing and building a Channel Islands National Park representative world in Minecraft. Students presented their individual or team Channel Islands National Park worlds, in class, as a screen capture video tour or PowerPoint presentation. Excellent job everyone!

Middle School Prepares for Reopening
