Cornell College is a small, private liberal arts school in Mount Vernon, Iowa, that utilizes a block schedule. This special academic calendar, named One Course At A Time (OCAAT), consists of eight blocks of 18 days each. Admission Requirement:

1. High school students who will be in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade as of Fall 2022 are invited to apply

2. High school participants must commit to attending all 3 Saturdays. If you know that you will miss a session, please discuss this matter with our program staff.

3. High school participants must select two-course choices on the application. Once accepted into the program there will be no option for switching courses during the current term.

Selection:

● High school participants are selected based on:

1) written and demonstrated an interest in science,

2) date application is submitted, and

3) past attendance in the program.

● High school participants from local and regional public and private high schools are prioritized for selection, but all high school students may apply.

● Courses are filled at 16 students. Classes may have materials that will be provided for the enrolled students.

For students who attend Centre College, three things are definite: If they want, they will be able to study abroad, complete an internship and graduate in four years. The school, located in Danville, Kentucky, guarantees that all students who follow academic and social guidelines will be exposed to each of the three key college experiences.
