Summary of Fillmore High School Safety Message
Late this afternoon, Fillmore High School received an anonymous bomb threat. Staff immediately contacted the Fillmore Police Department and began an investigation. The threat was not specific and vague, and the origin of the threat was identified. Based on the investigation, we determined that school could continue without disruption. Students were dismissed at the regular time and there was an increased police presence after school. FHS families were notified through Parent Square. FUSD will continue to prioritize student safety and take all threats seriously.
Thank you for your support,
Christine Schieferle, Superintendent

Principal Derrick’s 2022-23 School Year Welcome Back Message
Dear Fillmore High School Students and Parents/Guardians:
Welcome back to the 2022-23 school year. We are glad to have you with us and extend a special welcome to the class of 2026. We look forward to you becoming a part of our FHS family.
At FHS we want our students to become adults who possess the skills necessary to be successful in college and career. We accomplish this mission by pursuing excellence through a commitment to the four A’s: Academics, Arts, Athletics, and Activities. Involvement in a range of activities is necessary to develop the skills that are necessary for success in college and career. Students, staff, parents, and the community work together to provide excellent programs that offer opportunities for students to compete at the highest levels in academics and in co-curricular activities in ways that help each student develop to their full potential. As such, FHS is committed to preparing students to have the knowledge, skills, integrity, and character necessary to become successful and productive people.
We urge our students to take advantage of all that is available to participate in FHS life. I am confident that if our students commit to doing so, they will have a great high school experience and be as prepared as possible for what comes their way after graduation. I look forward to sharing the coming school year with everyone and helping our students achieve their goals.
